Reduction-fired porcelain pitcher, painted in my "chiaroscuro" style with hounds. I was thinking about cave paintings and how the flickering campfires are said to have animated the drawings and made the animals seem like they were moving - drawing on this bulbous, 3D surface makes the dogs seem like they're travelling as the pot is turned or seen from different angles.
Very nice serendipitious carbon-trapping on this one.
Matte black liner glaze.
